HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hartford police are investigating a shooting after a 16-year-old girl arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound.
Officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim at about 3:14 p.m. on Monday.
Early in the investigation, police determined that the victim was shot while in a car around 1611 Park Street.
The vehicle fled from the gunfire, police said, and ended up in an accident on Hazel Street.
A private vehicle transported the victim to an area hospital. She is currently in stable condition, police said.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crimes Scene Divisions have assumed the investigation.
