When it comes to the haze from those Canadian wildfires,
what looks unhealthy is unhealthy, says Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
It's filled with? "Very small particles, 2.5 microns or smaller," says DEEP's Paul Farrell. Thinner than a strand of hair. Breathe that kind of stuff in, says Farrell to Channel 3, and? "They tend to go deep into your lungs, and that's where they can cause all sorts of problems, especially for people with
preexisting lung conditions."
The smoke covers 17 states.
