East Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in East Hartford have made an arrest in connection with the death of a woman earlier this month.
Wilkid Valcinord, 57, is charged.
Officers say on June 18th, they responded to a welfare check on Andra Valcinord, 51, Wilkid's estranged wife, at her home on Martin Circle.
She was found stabbed to death, after police initially said she'd been the victim of "extreme physical violence".
A warrant was issued and the husband was arrested Tuesday.
East Hartford Police Chief Scott Sansom said "this arrest is a testament to the relentless efforts of our law enforcement professionals, and their commitment to bringing closure to the victim's family. We hope that this significant development will provide some solace to the community and serve as a reminder that we will tirelessly pursue justice."
Wilkid Valcinord is being held on murder charges.
