Storrs, Conn./WTIC Radio - One of the heroes of UConn's back-to-back men's basketball championships is returning for his senior year.
Red-shirt junior Alex Karaban had mulled possibly entering next month's NBA draft.
Karaban was a key member of this year's squad, averaging 11.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
The 6-6 forward scored 20 or more points eight times during the 2023-24 championship season.
UConn has a 68-11 record over the last two seasons with Karaban as a starter.
Six members of last season's team will be returning, and three freshman and two transfers are expected for next season.
