Westport, Conn./WTIC Radio - Westport police say they have arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of a high-end luxury sports car in town on Sunday.

In custody is Derrick McGill, 39, of Berlin and a 16-year-old juvenile from Waterbury.

A video released Monday by police showed the suspects pulling the owner of an Aston Martin out of the vehicle in his garage and assaulting him before driving off.

According to investigators, McGill was in possession of three other vehicles that were reported stolen--including the BMW that officers say was used in the Aston Martin carjacking.

McGill was arrested in his home by the Bridgeport Auto Theft Task Force on numerous charges including larceny, conspiracy, and illegal operation of a chop shop.

Westport police say he doesn't yet have charges pending in their town.

As for the 16-year-old, he's being held on charges that include robbery by carjacking, strangulation, burglary and assault among others.

Westport Police Chief Foti Koskinas said his officers and those with the task force were "able to make rapid progress" though technology and "good old fashioned police work."
