Avon, Conn./WTIC Radio - In Avon, police are charging a man in connection with a fatal crash in town last winter.
Under arrest is Timothy Preiser, 63.
He is charged in the February 20, 2024 crash on Waterville Road that left a woman dead.
Investigators say Preiser was driving a Chevy Malibu northbound when it entered the southbound lane and collided with another vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle, Jill Ayers, was killed.
Preiser is charged with negligent homicide, driving too fast, and failure to maintain a proper lane.
He is due in court November 6.
