HADDAM, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection reports a boating fatality is under investigation on the Connecticut River in Haddam.
Environmental Conservation (ENCON) Police are investigating a Sunday afternoon accident, believed to involve a single jet skier on the Connecticut River in Haddam.
Passing boaters reported a jet ski adrift at approximately 4:42 p.m. this evening.
An ENCON boat arrived on scene at 4:55 p.m. and recovered the victim from the water.
Investigators shut down the Salmon River boa launch for further investigation.
The victim's identity is not being released at this time.
