MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Manchester police identify the body found in the Hockanum River on Monday as a missing man from Vernon.
Police identify the body as Justin Shvetz, 40, of Vernon.
His family reported him missing on February 11, 2024, to the Vernon Police Department. Shvetz was entered into a national data base as missing, and a Silver Alert was initiated.
He was last seen in the area of Old Town Road in Vernon.
The Office of the Medical Examiner could not determine a cause of Shvetz's death after an autopsy. Further fests are being performed.
Police do say there are no reported signs of physical injury or trauma.
