SEYMOUR, CONN. (WTIC Radio)-Police said they're investigating after a body was discovered in the Naugatuck River under the Broad Street Bridge Sunday morning just before noon.
Police said a citizen noticed the body during the annual Memorial Day Parade.
Police notified the Detective Bureau and the Medical Examiner. Seymour firefighters recovered the body.
Police said the body is that of an adult male and it was in various states of decomposition.
The body was transported to the medical examiner's office in Farmington and an autopsy will be performed to identify the person and determine the cause of death.
