BRISTOL, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Bristol Police say a man was struck by a car as he walked out of his driveway Saturday evening.
Police say the accident happened in the area of Pine and Mitchell Streets around 6:25 p.m. Saturday.
The male victim, whose name hasn't been released, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The driver of the car involved in the crash stopped just after the scene of the accident and remained at the scene.
Route 72 (Pine Street) was closed to traffic for several hours while investigators processed the scene. The roadway was opened back up to traffic shortly after 10 p.m.
