WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)—Wethersfield Police responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Silas Deane Highway that sent two people to the hospital on Monday.
Patrol officers arrived to the area of the Route 5/15 overpass at around noon because of a vehicle that collided into the bridge, police said.
Units located a single vehicle with significant damage, officials said.
The Wethersfield Fire Department extricated two occupants from the vehicle, police said. An Aetna ambulance transported them to Hartford Hospital for treatment.
The Midstate Reconstruction Squad is investigating the accident.
