WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles says a problem with its vehicle inspection vendor has resulted in a delay of emissions testing.

DMV officials say on their website that Applus Technologies reported a system outage on Tuesday that has since prevented emissions testing.

The vendor reports to the State it is working to resolve the issue.

No restoration estimate has been provided.

In the meantime, law enforcement is asked not to cite drivers for expired emissions during this outage.
