Naugatuck, Conn./WTIC Radio - Naugatuck police are charging a man in an attempted carjacking that occurred in the borough last week.
Police say Guy Guery, 23, attempted to steal a car February 24th with the victim inside on Prospect Street.
A passerby armed with a hammer intervened.
Guery took off into nearby woods before he was captured by police.
He faces attempted carjacking, reckless endangerment and other charges.
Bond was set at $500,000.
