NEW HAVEN,CONN (WTIC Radio)-The Director of the Centers for Disease Control, Dr. Mandy Cohen, appeared in New Haven, urging residents
to roll up their sleeves and get the Flu, COVID and RSV vaccines.
Cohen was joined by Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, Senator Richard Blumenthal, Governor Lamont, Connecticut Public Health Commissioner Dr. Manisha Juthani and Deidre Gifford, Executive Director of the Office of Health Strategy.
Cohen said more than four million Americans have already received the COVID vaccine.
Cohen spoke at the Fair Haven Community Health Center in New Haven. CEO Suzanne Lagarde said many at her clinic use the Bridge Program,
catering to the un-insured and under-insured.
Senator Blumenthal said those that paid for a COVID shot should be reimbursed by their insurance company.
Both DeLauro and Lamont received their shots at the clinic.
