Cromwell, Conn./WTIC Radio - The president of the Connecticut Energy Marketers Association says recent price spikes in home heating oil and at the pump aren't supply related.
Quite the contrary, says CEMA's Chris Herb.
He says there's ample supply--it's speculators on Wall Street fearful there could be a disruption.
That's still very much in the cards given the Russia-Ukraine hostilities but not for awhile.
Herb says there's also the more expensive summer gasoline blends that could drive prices even higher.
He says now's not the time to panic and the hope is prices will return to normal sooner rather than later.
