ENFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police arrest an Enfield man in connection with a March highway chase.

State Police say that on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Trent Logan, 23, of Enfield was allegedly driving a dark-colored Dodge Challenger erratically on I-91 Northbound in Windsor Locks.

He was clocked at 132 miles per hour, while passing other traffic.

As it flew at speeds of about 140 miles per hour, the trooper attempted to catch up to Logan but ended the pursuit out of safety concerns.

As the Trooper exited the highway at the Exit 46 off ramp in Enfield, the same Dodge Challenger was seen at the bottom of the ramp.

The Trooper then activated his emergency lights and siren and attempted a motor vehicle stop.

In response, police say Logan abruptly accelerated and entered I-91 southbound, again traveling in an erratic and reckless manner, at speeds in excess of 100 mph.

The Trooper again terminated efforts to stop the Challenger based upon the risk to public safety.

Further investigation led State Police to Logan.

The East Windsor Police Department stopped Logan, who was driving the same Dodge Challenger, on Monday.

Logan is charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with an officer, reckless driving, and failure to obey the signal of an officer / engaging in pursuit.

He is held on a $75,000 bond.
