Six days after Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday, the slain civil rights leader was uppermost on the minds of people at a ceremony this weekend in Southington.
Held at the town's First Baptist Church Sunday was its 26th annual observance of MLK Day.
Among those in attendance: Connecticut Attorney General William Tong. Speaking to the attendees, Tong spoke of the plight and value of marginalized people across the state, saying, "even if they're part of the underground economy, the underground economy is critical to Connecticut's economy."
