Connecticut reacts to Charlie Kirk shooting

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Numerous leaders from across Connecticut are denouncing the deadly shooting of Charlie Kirk during an event in Utah on Wednesday.

Governor Ned Lamont is following the President's Proclamation that flags should fly at half staff until Sunday at sunset.


“Political violence of any kind has no place in our country and is never acceptable,” Lamont said in a statement.

Connecticut Senate Republicans said, in a written statement: “This was a sick, disgusting, cowardly act of evil. We condemn any and all political violence. We pray for Charlie Kirk’s survival and our thoughts are with his family.”
