MERIDEN, Conn, (WTIC Radio) - The City of Meriden is letting affected families know who they can contact if gravestones for their loved ones have been damaged in the recent mass desecration that happened this week.
Affected persons should direct their questions and concerns to the owners and managers of the cemetery, according to a statement from the town.
They're being directed to contact the Catholic Cemeteries Association of the Archdiocese of Hartford, Inc.
Approximately 100 gravesites at the St. Patrick Cemetery on Wall Street were vandalized this week.
It's believed the desecration took place between 8 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
