Stamford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Contempt charges against the woman charged in and now serving time in the murder of Jennifer Farber Dulos have been dropped.

Michelle Troconis is serving 14 years on charges of conspiracy and tampering with evidence.

She was slapped with the contempt charge when she was found to have sealed documents on her courtroom laptop during trial.

Carrie Luft, a spokeswoman for Jennifer Dulos' family, says in a statement while she brought her concerns to the the case inspector, she supports the move, as a trial would be unnecessary and time consuming.

"As I described in that statement, not only did the defendant display a sealed court document at a very large scale on her laptop that day, but she had also engaged in similar behavior in at least two previous court sessions, displaying information related to a witness or their testimony at a very large scale on her laptop screen. Our initial expectation was that the contempt charge would be addressed from the bench in the course of the defendant’s criminal trial."

Fotis Dulos was accused in Jennifer's disappearance and murder in May of 2019.

He took his own life before he went to trial.
