Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - The investigation continues into a double fatal crash in Wethersfield Saturday afternoon.
It was around 2:30 p.m. that police say they responded to a head-on crash on Silas Deane Highway near the Rocky Hill town line.
It was the second serious crash in that area in a little over 12 hours.
Investigators say both drivers were rushed to Hartford Hospital where they later died.
Silas Deane Highway was closed for several hours.
Names of the victims haven't yet been released.
Earlier in the day on Saturday, a vehicle and a garbage truck collided in the same general vicinity.
One of the persons in that crash sustained life-threatening injuries.
