TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Torrington Police say a man is critically injured following a fire at a home in city early Wednesday morning.
First responders went to a home on Cedar Lane, where a fire was reported after 3 a.m. Wednesday.
A man and a chocolate Labrador were inside the home and had to be rescued.
The man was suffering from burns to multiple parts of his body and was air-lifted to the Bridgeport Burn Center, where he was last known to be listed in critical condition.
The Labrador was found to be healthy and taken in by a neighbor.
The State Fire Marshal is currently on scene to investigate the origin of the fire.
