Columbia, Conn./WTIC Radio - There's been a second arrest in connection with an incident last weekend in Columbia in which a girls youth basketball coach is accused of hitting another man with his car.
That second person is the victim himself, Jason Suprenant, 40, of Columbia.
State police say it all started with an argument last Saturday at the game at Horace Porter School.
Bryan Baez-Rivera, 29, was coaching one of the teams when an argument ensued over a foul.
Troopers say Suprenant was the aggressor, following Baez-Rivera to his car.
That's when Baez-Rivera allegedly struck Suprenant, who was standing in the middle of the street.
He wound up going over the hood and roof of the vehicle before tumbling to the ground.
Suprenant was treated for injuries at an area hospital.
Baez-Rivera is charged with assault and risk of injury.
Suprenant faces breach of peace charges.
