Put it in a pouch says Governor Ned Lamont, who is calling for a crackdown across Connecticut on cellphones in grade schools.
Lamont's message to students: "Start the day listening to your teacher and playing with your friends, not your phone."
Lamont wants elementary school students to either leave their phones at home or put them in locked pouches when the school day begins.
Such pouches are already being used in some districts. And all school boards
will be getting guidance from the state on what to do what cellphones.
