MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection is ordering State Police and the Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security to investigate any unusual reports of larger drones flying at night above Connecticut.

Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) is among lawmakers demanding answers from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, saying the public also deserves answers concerning the drone activity that has been sweeping states, including Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey.

But, that's not all. Sen. Blumenthal also believes, saying Thursday: "...we should be doing some very urgent intelligence analysis and take them out of the skies, especially if they’re flying over airports or military bases."

Connecticut residents are encouraged to report their sightings and any documentations to State Police through this link.
