ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Connecticut Lottery announces that it will be relocating its headquarters and claims center from Rocky Hill to Wallingford.
This is part of the Lottery Corporation's plan to consolidate its operations in one centralized location, which they are enacting as their lease on the Rocky Hill location is due to expire.
The new location will be at 15 Sterling Drive off the Wilbur Cross Pkwy and I-91.
The last day that winners will be able to claim their prizes in-person at the Rocky Hill Headquarters will be Tuesday, August 22nd, from 8:30 am to noon.
The Lottery Corporation expects that operations will resume sometime during the week of August 28th at their new Wallingford location.
During the week-long closure period, the Lottery Corporation has advised players that prizes up to $599 may be claimed in-person at lottery retailers or via mail, prizes up to $5,000 may be claimed at High-Tier Claim Centers in New London, Norwalk, and Waterbury, or via mail, and that prizes $5,001-$49,999 may be claimed by mail or in-person at the new Wallingford location.
Prizes exceeding $50,000 must be held on to until the claims center opens in Wallingford.
Due to the closure period, the Lottery Corporation will honor winning claims that expire during this period under the condition they be processed at the new center in Wallingford once it opens in two weeks.
Lottery drawings will be uninterrupted by the closure period, and effective August 21, all claims mailed to the Rocky Hill address will be forwarded to 15 Sterling Drive.
