Officer Josh Zarbo was moonlighting at the Walmart in Old Saybrook back on black friday.
An arrest warrant says that Zarbo noticed two women -- two sisters. He had police dispatch run their license plate. A friend of the women heard the police scanner chatter and gave them a heads-up.
Then, one of the women noticed she had a new Instagram follower, and recognized him from Walmart.
Documents show Zarbo has told police he did that because they have mutual friends. And Zarbo says they were acting suspiciously.
