NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut marks one year since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine by standing in solidarity with Ukraine on Thursday.
Governor Lamont, state officials, federal officials, and Ukrainian families who have moved to Connecticut will rally at Central Connecticut State University at 11 a.m. this morning.
Lt. Governor Bysiewicz, Senator Blumenthal, Congressman Courtney, Congresswoman Hayes, and various local groups and organizations will be among officials leading the rally.
The assembly is being held at Alumni Hall (inside of the Student center).
The official one-year mark is Friday, February 24, 2023.
