HARTFORD, CONN (WTIC Radio)-More than 20 state troopers learned tactics to reduce danger or tension at active school threats during an all-day training session.
More than 8 thousand individuals, belonging to churches, businesses, schools and law enforcement have
received training since the program began in 2016.
The live training, with force-on-force exercises, includes local fire, EMS and student role players.
The state troopers, who also received classroom instruction during the four-day curriculum, are school resource officers at state schools.
The training occurred at A.I. Prince Technical School.
