The State of Connecticut announces a public ceremony to pay tribute to the late Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman.
The tribute will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 4 - 6 p.m. in the atrium of the Legislative Office Building at 300 Capitol Avenue in Hartford.
Unlike her funeral, this ceremony is open to the public, and all Connecticut residents are invited to pay their respects.
Current and former elected officials are being invited to make remarks honoring her life, as will several former staff members who spent many years working alongside Lt. Governor Wyman.
Lt. Governor Wyman served as the 108th lieutenant governor of Connecticut from 2011 to 2019. She was the first woman in Connecticut elected as state comptroller, serving in that office from 1995 to 2011. She also served as state representative of the 53rd Assembly District from 1987 to 1995. She began her career in public service on the Tolland Board of Education.
She passed away on August 12, 2026, at the age of 80.
