Just weeks before the fiery crash that incinerated five young siblings and cousins from Derby, their family got a visit from the Department of Children and Families.
Channel Three news reports that it was a courtesy visit in connection with an alleged incident. They are not saying what kind of incident.
But the development comes as questions grow over how an unlicensed 16-year-old member of the family was able to drive off in a vehicle rented by a relative.
The report says Connecticut's Office of the Child Advocate is keeping
apprised of the findings.
