WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a double fatal crash in Waterbury near the Cheshire line Sunday.
Police say Abdriel Negron, 16, of Waterbury, was driving a blue 2008 Honda Fit that lost control and hit the rear of a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the rear of a gray 2021 Ford F-150 around 7:56 a.m. near Exit 25-A on I-84 Westbound in Waterbury.
Both Negron and his front-seat passenger, Sheily Briceno, 18, of Hartford, were killed.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
