HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Hartford Police arrest one person in connection with a fatal shooting early Wednesday morning in Hartford.
Police say Siddharta Lake-Sudan, 37, of East Hartford, was fatally shot in the area of Bedford Street and Albany Avenue around 1:48 a.m. Another man, in his 20s, was shot and hospitalized for a non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
While investigating, police identified and tried to stop a suspect vehicle in the area of Albany Avenue.
Police tried to stop the suspect vehicle, but it wouldn't stop for officers. The vehicle ultimately crashed at the intersection of Sigourney Street at Farmington Avenue. Two suspects were arrested.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, Chan Williams-Bey, Jr., 25, of Hartford, was arrested and charged in the homicide.
Williams-Bey faces charges of murder, first degree assault, and carrying a pistol without a permit.
He is being held on a $1.75 million bond.
