NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ A Derby man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a killing in early June.
Police took Jordan Rudel, 24, of Derby, into custody Thursday. He was arraigned on felony murder, murder, and first-degree robbery charges in the death of Rondell Atkinson, of West Haven, on June 7.
A jogger found the 33-year-old Atkinson's body the morning of June 8, on a sidewalk adjacent to Pease Road Playground in Woodbridge.
Police said Atkinson had been shot multiple times, and he car was stolen.
The investigation remains open.
