MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are responding to numerous crashes across the State on Saturday after an overnight snowstorm coupled with rapidly falling temperatures.
In a statement to WTIC Radio, State Police "urge all motorists to slow down or limit travel during these adverse weather conditions."
It goes on to advise: "...roads are being treated and cleared by state and town crews, but many areas remain covered. Road conditions are changing rapidly. High winds and dropping temperatures will certainly be an impact during this afternoon and into the evening hours."
An earlier crash on I-84 Westbound in East Hartford, involving a tractor trailer and a vehicle, turned fatal.
