WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Waterbury Police are investigating a double shooting that happened Wednesday evening.
By time police responded to a reported shooting on Congress Avenue, a 10-year-old child and a 20-year-old man had been taken to Waterbury Hospital for treatment of their gunshot wounds.

Police say the 10-year-old child is being treated for a gunshot to the rib area, and the 20-year-old man is being treated for gunshot to the leg area. Both injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
