HADDAM, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - State police are investigating a one-car crash that killed two people in Haddam Tuesday night.
James Reid, 39, of Bloomfield, and Brittany Cook, 32, of Waterford, were killed when the car they were in went through a stop sign and slammed into the face of a rock wall at an entrance to Route 9 around 10 p.m., said police.
Police say Reid was the driver and Cook was the front-seat passenger.
The crash occurred in the area of the Exit 8 ramp from Beaver Meadow Road.
The crash remains under investigation.
