Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - The state Department of Motor Vehicles is putting the brakes on a Manchester-based driving school.

DMV has suspended the license of Shining Star Driving School.

This, the department says, is for "violations of statutes and regulations".

According to DMV, state inspectors noticed irregularities in Shining Star's operation.

It says the owner, Antoinette Khan, has been offered a stipulated agreement which includes a fine to restore the school's business license.

Khan has until next Friday to agree.

Meantime, customers should contact DMV at 860-263-5096 for additional information.
