Stamford, Conn./WTIC Radio - An arrest has been made in a Stamford hit-and-run last fall which left a 74-year-old pedestrian dead.
It was last November 23rd that Marie Jean-Charles was struck at West Main Street and Alvord Lane.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
Now police are charging Salvatore Longo, 58, of the Cos Cob section of Greenwich.
Investigators say they interviewed Longo shortly after the crash and he initially denied striking the victim at a high rate of speed.
He's now charged with manslaughter with a motor vehicle and evading responsibility.
Bond was set at $750,000 and Longo is due on court on Thursday.
