New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - New Haven police say a person was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.
Just before 9:30 p.m., police responded to Whalley Avenue and Brownell Street.
That's where they found Yusuf Suat Gursey, 70, of New Haven suffering from serious injuries.
He later died at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Police say the driver of the vehicle that struck Gursey fled the scene.
Anyone who may have information or who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact New Haven Police.
