New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - In New Haven, the father of a three-month-old baby boy is under arrest after his son sustained life threatening injuries.
On Thursday, police were notified by the state Department of Children and Families that the infant had been transported to the pediatric unit of Yale New Haven Hospital.
According to police, medical personnel told them the baby sustained a fractured skull and traumatic brain injuries and is on life support.
Special Victims Unit detectives talked to the baby's parents and ultimately placed the father under arrest.
The father's name has not yet been released.
He is being charged with assault and risk of injury to a minor.
