MERIDEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Meriden Police are investigating a dispute that led to a deadly shooting.
Police responded to the area of 161 State Street around 10:08 p.m. Monday night where a dispute and a shooting had been reported.
A woman victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She is being described as an adult, although police are saying they're not releasing a name at this time.
It's believed the shooter and victim knew each other but the extent of that relationship hasn't been shared with the public yet and it's not clear if police have a suspect in custody.
The Meriden Green is expected to remain closed until later Tuesday afternoon due to an ongoing investigaiton.
