
Torrington, Conn./WTIC Radio - A fire in Torrington has left a city resident dead.
Police say just after 8:00 Wednesday morning, officers and firefighters were dispatched to the home at 27 Marvin Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters were met with heavy smoke and flames.
They were able to gain control of the blaze before finding one individual inside.
That person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police, the local and state fire marshals are investigating a cause of the fire.
