WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Former Republican West Haven mayoral candidate Barry Lee Cohen has filed a lawsuit over the election's results.
A recount found incumbent Democratic Candidate Mayor Nancy Rossi beat Cohen by 32 votes.
A federal investigation is ongoing into the spending of COVID-19 funds. Over $630,000 in funding allotted to the city was allegedly spent on no-show work. Two city employees, including former State Rep. Micheal DiMassa (D), were arrested on federal wire fraud charges for their alleged roles in the case.
