WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Four people, including three brothers, are dead after a BMW slammed into a building on Cherry Street around 12:47 a.m. Thursday.
Police say that four people were in the car. Three died at the scene. Another was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The dead include brothers Kayden Torres, 20, Nelson Torres, 25 and Noel Torres, 15, all of Waterbury. Also killed was 20-year-old Jonathan Puszka, also of Waterbury.
It's unclear who was driving at the time of the crash. Police say speed was a likely factor.
The impact crushed the front of the building at 45 Cherry St., which includes a corner store and a restaurant that recently opened.
Police say no one was inside the portion of the building that was impacted when the crash happened.
