Connecticut was already home of the nation's largest fuel-cell park. The Dominion Bridgeport Fuel Cell Park is a nearly 15,000 kilowatt energy storage project.
Now, Connecticut can claim it also has America's second largest fuel-cell park -- a facility that converts hydrogen into electricity.
Thursday marked the opening of the second-largest fuel-cell park in the nation -- located in Derby.
The new plant will be used to relieve pressure when there are surges in demand for electricity.
