
Glastonbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - Glastonbury police are charging a man they say entered a woman's home while she slept early Sunday morning.
Police said 28-year-old William Vanderpoel of no known address is being held.
It was shortly after midnight Sunday morning that the victim's dog began barking loudly.
When she saw Vanderpoel, she locked herself in a bathroom and called police.
The suspect was gone by the time officers arrived but they were able to track Vanderpoel down through her description.
He had property taken from the home as well as from vehicles in the area when he was arrested according to police.
Vanderpoel is facing burglary and larceny charges and being held on bond.
