Glastonbury teen accused of putting inappropriate quotes in yearbook

Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Glastonbury Police have arrested and charged a teen accused of inserting inappropriate quotes in the 2021 Glastonbury High School Yearbook.

Police say Hollister Tryon, 18, of Glastonbury, hacked the school's computer database that students use to submit their yearbook quotes before the books went to print. He was arrested Monday.

One quote had been changed to an Adolf Hitler quote, incorrectly attributed to George Floyd. That quote was discovered in May.

Officials found another quote that referenced drugs and the name "Dzhokhar Tsarnaev," the Boston Marathon bomber.

Tryon, who police say is a Glastonbury High School student, is charged with two counts of third degree computer crime.

Bond is $5,000.
