Suspect arrested in Hamden double shooting

Hamden, Conn. (WTIC RADIO) - Police in Hamden have made an arrest in connection with a shooting from the spring that left two people with serious injuries.

Michael Wooten, 23, is charged.

On May 13, police were called just after midnight to the 1500-block of Dixwell Avenue on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, they found a 20-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Another victim, 22, had sustained injuries to the pevis, buttocks and hand.

Both were rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

Police have charged Wooten with criminal attempt to commit assault, reckless endangerment, and illegal discharge of a firearm.

Wooten is being held on a court set bond of $350,000.

He's due in Meriden Superior Court November 17.
