HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hartford Police are investigating a deadly Sunday crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
Police responded to the intersection of Zion Street and Harbison Avenue around 1:52 p.m. Sunday, where a red Yamaha motorcycle and a gray Nissan Murano were found wrecked in the roadway.
The operator of the motorcycle, identified as John Marrero, 20, of Hartford, was found on the ground along with a 22-year-old woman passenger who was on the motorcycle.
Both Marrero and the passenger were transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment of serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
Later in the evening, Marrero died at the hospital.
The operator of the gray Nissan Murano remained at the scene of the crash. She was later transported to Hartford Hospital for minor injuries.
